Here Nigel and his Prehistoric Park colleague Bob watch as a herd of gigantic Titanosaurs march through the Park’s time portal and into a waiting enclosure. At this stage in proceedings there are no dinosaurs to be seen though- only a big blue screen marks the plane in which they’ll stroll. The screen helps the computer animators in the later stages of production- they manipulate the image to remove all the blue objects and then insert dinosaurs into the gaps. Acting alongside invisible co-stars was a challenge for Nigel and co, so sometimes the crew would helpfully chip in with a few moans and grunts to help everybody imagine how the beasts were behaving. Sadly, these noises won’t make it into the finished series. But if you want to see how this scene does turn out, tune in to episode five.
