Southern Spain, 1984: Nigel holds a ladder snake aloft.

Nigel’s first full-time job in television after graduating from Bristol University was as a researcher on the BBC’s Mediterranean series First Eden. On location with the production, Nigel found this ladder snake feeding on egret chicks.
