The Human Senses (2003)   This series was a new departure for me, because it looked specifically at human biology, rather than wild animals, although there were one or two animal sequences per show. Challenges I faced included sniffing the world’s worst smell and competing against a world-champion chilli-eater (I don’t want to go into the horrific details, but I did not win!)   It was also terrific fun experiencing zero-gravity on the Vomit Comet, a Russian jet plane that does parabolic dives at 30,000 feet. Some people have been so sick on the flight that they have to go on a drip afterwards to replace all the lost fluid! Each time the plane dropped from the sky I experienced 30 seconds of weightlessness, I even talked to the camera whilst floating upside-down.
