Hi everybody! Thanks to everyone who has emailed the site recently, and sorry if we haven’t been able to get back to you, it has been a very busy year with all sorts of projects on the go. In the last six months, I’ve been filming at both poles – first in the Antarctic, for Penguin Safari (which was a great success), and this spring and summer in the Canadian Arctic, for another fantastic series due to be on TV around Christmas 2007. Read on for more about what’s happening…

May 2007

Filming the wildlife of Canada’s spectacular high Arctic. We’ll be travelling to remote islands, dense forests and icy seas to capture amazing footage of polar bears, musk ox and great grey owls in their wilderness habitats. I’ll dive with irritable walruses and beautiful belugas, drive a skidoo across the snow and watch the greatest light show in the world, the aurora borealis.

3 June

National Geographic Channel show the UK premiere of Micro Safari: Journey to the Bugs.

23 June

I’ll be appearing on CBBC’s Hider in the House!

Back in the UK catching up with correspondence and editing our Arctic footage.

18 & 19 August

I’m appearing again at the British Birdwatching Fair at Egleton Nature Reserve, Rutland Water. See the Fair’s website (www.birdfair.org.uk) for more information. Hope to see you there!

We have some more exciting projects in the pipeline that might be going ahead in October – look out for more news later in the year…

I’ll be off to the Arctic again with the Image Impact crew for the final filming trip of the project. And when I get back I’ll be frantically editing to get the shows finished for the transmission deadline!
